Craft Beer Rising – Old Truman Brewery

Craft Beer Rising- Old Truman Brewery

This weekend brings Craft Beer Rising at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. This glorious event boasts 155 diffferent breweries. Along with plenty of street food and a killer soundtrack all under one roof.  Tickets costing from  £16.80 – £21.60 check here if you’re interested.

For those that are in Shoreditch for the weekend visiting on holiday. Or those that live close by and are just looking for something to do…..preferably just after a Strap and Scraper London trim 😉 this is the perfect event. Food, beer, tunes and more beer sounds like the stuff of dreams.

We can safely say that team S&S will be having a wonder through the event sampling beers and stuffing our faces. To our regular clients if you are going drop us a line on Instagram (slide into our dm’s) we may swing by and say hi. Unfortunately for us the event is taking place on a school night, meaning we will be on our best behaviour. In contrast to those with a pretty empty weekend schedule, our advice to you’s would be go nuts! Because why not.

So to line up your weekend perfectly, we recommend pre getting your tickets for the event.  Coming to our Shoreditch barbershop. Let us finely spruce you up.  Then finally try our new product range and stroll on through to Craft Beer Rising in the Truman Brewery.                                       Barbershop, styling products, shoreditch, brick lane barbershop, london barbers

The Music #StrappedIn

At Strap and Scraper we are always on the look out for great tunes to add to our collection. Our forever evolving playlist is always on the hunt for new bands and artists for our Spotify. Lucky for us being located in Brick Lane there is always an event or gig right around the corner for us to check out new music, new beer and good times. When you walk through our doors for one of our fine sprucing sessions you will hear the likes of Tom Grennan, Raleigh Ritchie, Maverick Sabre, Jordan Max, Tom Walker  The Sha La La’s and plenty old school soul and R’n’B.

Our New Music Finds

Over the past month or two we found music that may not necessarily be new, but it is new to us and  ever since we have thrown them onto our playlist we always get asked ‘Who is this,’ or ‘Can you play that song again so I can shazam it.’ 😀

Our new additions:

Violets, especially their tune When The Lights Go Down if you don’t know check it out!

Jelani Blackman and one of our favourites of his has to be Submarine. Have a listen.

Upcoming Music Gig at The George Tavern on Commercial Road.

So Saturday the 18th of November a good client and friend of our barbershop is running an event at the George Tavern on Commercial road. Live music,  soul tunes, indie tunes, good beer and a great little boozer. Not to mention one of our playlist faves the Sha La La’s are performing! This event just screams Strap and Scraper London so we will most certainly be attending this one! Located just around the corner from us at Brick Lane we can swing by after a full day of Sprucing up the fine people of London.

If our style of music sounds right up your street, swing by this Saturday. Tickets only costing 5 pounds AND you can purchase on the night. Seems like a steal!

If you have any recomendations for our playlist please do let us know.  If you are an artist with with a style that matches our Strap and Scraper London barbershop track list we would also love to hear from you. Just drop us an e-mail which you will find on our contact page of our website.
